Once accepted into the program, it takes approximately 12 to 24 months before you can begin your assignment in the U.S. The amount of time it will take to process your visa application is ultimately dependent on the movement of the "current" priority date for your paticular nationality. "Current priority dates" are issued monthly via the visa bulletin board.

Once your application is accepted, the first step is to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
